30 weeks!!!!!! 10 to go!

How far along? 30 weeks 5 days!

Total weight gain: Just keep gaining steadily!

Maternity clothes? Still haven't had time to go down and buy them but I will do this asap. Right now just rocking my jeans with the bella band and any/all long shirts and dresses.

Stretch marks? No but if you hear of an insane woman screaming and throwing herself in front of a bus in Laguna Niguel in the next 3 months, they might have possibly shown up.

Sleep:?
Starting to wake up more often with my mind racing about all the things we have going on! Hard to get back to sleep when all you can think about is which wall should we put the crib on, will the baby be here before Christmas, what if he has the same birthday as Joey, do I want someone to come blowout my hair before I go into labor, what if my nails are chipped when I go into labor, I need to buy a cute delivery gown asap, do they allow dogs into labor and delivery- you know- standard stuff like that.

Best moment this week: Had such a crazy crazy busy but good week!!! We got up around 3am on Friday morning to fly home to Northern California at 8am. Brought Sir Winston with us as our "support dog" which he was the complete opposite of. The only emotional support he provided was by being a distraction to anyone and everyone around him with his incessant whining and barking. However, the airport had no problem notating on our tickets "emotional illness" adding to my deep shame and humiliation.

Anyway, when we got there friday afternoon we rushed to get ready for our maternity shoot! Winston was a big part of the shoot as well, so it was the whole Cefalu family. Then Joeys parents took us out to dinner to celebrate Joey's promotion at a little italian spot, which was also fun!

Saturday was Shawna's bridal shower which was SO MUCH fun! I got to see a ton of people from elementary, middle and high school and it was such a blast celebrating such an exciting time in Shawna's life. Her mom did an amazing job on the shower, it was absolutely gorgeous!

Sunday, my lovely mother in law and sister in law threw me a fabulous baby shower in Larkspur that was such a blast! I was overwhelmed with all the amazing gifts everyone brought for Carter and all the love the little guy already has! We truly are blessed!

Whoa, I almost forgot to mention the MOST important exciting part of this week! Went to the fetal diagnostic center to get very specific exact measurements on the baby (I've been a little worried because I haven't gained a ton of weight and everyone in the world keeps commenting on how small I am, so I wanted to make sure he was growing okay)! And he is! He is 4 pounds and in the 67% percentile and measuring a week ahead of schedule!! YAY!!! The nurse said I carry him very low and I have such a long torso which is why I am not showing as much as other people might be at this point. Regardless, they measured every little thing on the guy and said he is completely perfect and even already has a full head of hair! You know what that means..he takes after his daddy!

Miss Anything? Margaritas, bloody marys and tequila. Sushi. Not crying at every sappy thing on tv.

Movement: ALL THE TIME! Now its more like rolling and turning less kicking and punching. I guess he has less room now?

Food Cravings: Chipotle is back on the rotation, I live and die for pico de gallo and mango salsa, and I could eat my weight in shrimp.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Still a little here and there but nothing too severe.

Gender: BOY! Boooyaah!

Labor Signs: Negative.

Symptoms: Braxton Hicks, back pain and some definite emotional moments. Nothing like crying over your salad because you think it looks like you have an exercise ball under your dress. Poor Joey.

Belly Button in or out? Almost all the way out!

Wedding rings on or off? ON!!!!

Happy or Moody most of the time: This IS the happiest I have ever been aside from when the daughter in Father of the Bride 2 decides to move to Chicago, someone drinks a bloody mary in front of me, or I find out its the last season of Gossip Girl.

Looking forward to: Relaxing with my sweet husband and adorable doggy. We need it! ANNNNNNND our 4d ultrasound sunday, since the little guy has been refusing to let us get a good picture of him at all his recent ultrasounds! He is a brat already!

Shawnas amazing bridal shower!

29 weeks! This train is moving!

How far along? 29 weeks 6 days!

Total weight gain: My weight is crazzzy these days, I go up 3 pounds in a night, then down 2 pounds, then back up. I quizzed the doctor about it like a psychopath and he told me to STOP worrying about it- all that matters is that the baby is growing and developing fine, which he is!!! YAY!

Maternity clothes? Its getting to be about that time..Everyone has suddenly began noticing I am pregnant and pointing it out. Yep, Im a big preggers lady. I think I might be busting out the pregnant waddle soon too. HOT.

Stretch marks? No but if you hear of an insane woman screaming and throwing herself in front of a bus in Laguna Niguel in the next 3 months, they might have possibly shown up.

Sleep:?
Not too bad except when I wake up flat on my back! My mom is convinced that it is ridiculous that we can't sleep on our backs but the doc insisted I try to sleep on my left side as much as possible. So whenever I wake up and unconsiously turned on my back I completely freak out if I don't feel the baby moving. Then I am up for awhile frozen in terror, counting every movement to make sure he is okay and trying to decide whether I should wake up Joey and alert him of the absolute emergency medical situation occurring in our bed. Oh the joys of motherhood. Just imagine what a freak show I will be once he is born!

Best moment this week: Lots of them!! Had such a great week! The nursery is painted and looks AMAZING! The crib, high-dresser and dresser arrived this week !! The dressers are all set up and ready to go but the crib has to be put together by  joey. This scares me a little as last time Joey attempted to put furniture together, we spent a few months sleeping on the floor. No, really. And last night when he was simply unpacking the already put together dressers, he somehow managed to cut his hand, slice his toe open and limp around the house. See why I wanted to put him through handyman training classes?

Saw the Doc again this week and  the baby is now 3.1 pounds!! He sure is growing fast! The doctor said everything looks great! Next week we have our super super detailed ultrasound which will make me feel a million times better because they will be able to give us accurate specific measurements on everything and we will see how he measures up percantile-wise. YAY!

Miss Anything? No way! I am completely adapted to being pregnant now and I seriously can't even imagine not being pregnant now. I am in complete shock at how soon he is going to be here!!!!! I CANNOT WAIT!

Movement: ALL THE TIME! Now its more like rolling and turning less kicking and punching. I guess he has less room now?

Food Cravings: Excessive amounts of Baja Fresh Shrimp Salads which I was told I need to tone down on because even though the shrimp is low mercury, I am supposed to be consuming in moderation. Oops. Now its chicken.  True Food, Peanut Butter, jelly donuts which I refuse to eat anymore of and all different flavored almonds.  YUM.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Still a little here and there but nothing too severe.

Gender: BOY! Boooyaah!

Labor Signs: Negative.

Symptoms: Braxton Hicks for sure and some back pain. Also had a mini meltdown because Joey didn't want to eat anything at Baja Fresh and I cried for about an hour. Hormonal much?

Belly Button in or out? Almost all the way out!

Wedding rings on or off? ON!!!!

Happy or Moody most of the time: This IS the happiest I have ever been!

Looking forward to: This weekend!!  Joey and I have our maternity shoot on Friday which I am so excited about (yes, we are bringing Winston, he is a very important part of this family !!!!) , Saturday is my best friend Shawna's bridal shower which I am helping host, and then Sunday my awesome mother in law and sister in law are throwing me a baby shower in Northern California! Joey and I are flying up bright and early tomorrow morning and I CANNOT WAIT!! YAY!

28 Weeks AKA 7 MONTHS and the 3rd Trimester!!!!

How far along? 28 weeks 4 days!

Total weight gain: gaining steadily 1/2 pound to a pound! So about 7 pounds!

Maternity clothes? Still working off what I have plus the Bella Band

Stretch marks? No but if you hear of an insane woman screaming and throwing herself in front of a bus in Laguna Niguel in the next 3 months, they might have possibly shown up.

Sleep:?
10 hours on average.  My dreams are super insane and ALWAYS involve vacation to Mexico or snowboarding somewhere. my subconcious(and me in general) just can't handle the fact that I have gone so long without a trip to Mexico. Which is why we are already planning our vacation for next year which will coincide with my girlfriend Rochelle's wedding in late April. Am I afraid I will be a blubbering mess who is too in love  and obsessed with her baby boy to leave him for even a minute? Only time will tell friends.

Best moment this week: Being 7 months pregnant!! AHHH!!! I cannot believe how far we are into this and how soon we get to meet our little guy!!! Joey and I lay in bed on Saturday and Sunday mornings for like 2 hours with our hands on my belly, feeling Baby C kick and talking about excited we are! We call it our own little paradise when the whole family (me, joey, winston and Baby C) get to snuggle up in the mornings and just hang out in bed. We play him all the different Baby Einstein songs on Pandora but mainly the rock renditions of the lullabies (per joeys request) and the disney songs (per my request so I can show off how good I am at singing ALL the little mermaid songs). We realized we only have 11 more weekends of it just being us and Winst! BEYOND exciting and so insane!

We also had a doctors appointment where I forced him to do more precise measurements and he confirmed that the baby is 2.6 pounds right now (average is 2-2.3lbs so hes a big boy!) and is perfect sized for 7 months. YAY! We got to see the little guy squirming around and harass the doctor with questions until he shooed us out the door. Hey I warned him he was in for dealing with a spaz if he took me on as a patient. Can't say I didn't warn him.

Also got the results of my glucose test and anemia testing and everything was perfect= no restrictions on my carbs or sugar intake because my body handles it fine. Clearly, judging by all the crap I ate Saturday night!

We had a blast over the weekend too. Friday night was my girlfriend Erin's bday at a country bar and we absolutely loved the place! It had such a cute atmosphere and was very reminiscent of Texas! Joey and I decided we definitely have to go back. Saturday when Joey and I finally got the whole family out of bed, we decided we had to get stuff done and we ordered our crib, dresser and changing dresser! Cannot wait for that to get here! We put a lot of work into the registry too and hired our painters to come and get started this week on the nursery!

Saturday night we decided we deserved a reward for all our hard work so we ordered domino's in and made cinnamon streusel muffins and brownies and watched movies on the couch all night. It really was heaven.  At least heaven for lazy pregnant people and a puppy (well one pregnant lady and a very sympathetic husband).

Sunday was our friends Jeff and Selin's little girl Malia's 1st birthday party and we had a blast celebrating with them and catching up with some of our other friends from our church group. Love all those people and feel so blessed to have them in my life! Then we went to my moms for Sunday night dinner and cooked up a delicious storm while we talked baby!

Miss Anything? MEXICO!

Movement: ALL THE TIME!

Food Cravings: Excessive amounts of Baja Fresh Shrimp Salads which I was told I need to tone down on because even though the shrimp is low mercury, I am supposed to be consuming in moderation. Oops. True Food, Peanut Butter and whip cream, brownies, and pizza. Healthy, I know.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Still a little here and there but nothing too severe.

Gender: BOY! Boooyaah!

Labor Signs: Negative.

Symptoms: Braxton Hicks for sure and some back pain but thats about it so far!!

Belly Button in or out? Almost all the way out!

Wedding rings on or off? ON!!!!

Happy or Moody most of the time: This IS the happiest I have ever been!

Looking forward to: Meeting our baby boy! Seriously, what else could be more exciting than that??
