13 months!!!

Age: 13 months tomrorow!

Weight: He was 23 lbs at his 12 month appt

Height: 30 1/2 inches

New developments:  Carter is 13 moths old tomorrow which shows how incredib;y ;ong it has been since I blgged but I am determined to get back into it. How funny it is to look back at all the stuff I wrote this time last year..I dont even know how I couldhave said it is amazing to have a kid because I feel like I had no idea what I was really in for. THIS is having a kid- 1 uear old who laughs and loves us and says mama and dada and runs after me and hugs my legs. Who loves pushing buttons and every dog (deedee) he sees. He pratically is running and he says "dis" "DAT'  at stuff he wants to touch and points non stop.

Carters favorite things of the week: All dogs, random strangers (theres nthing he loves more han to akwardly stare and smile at random people, especially if they dont want to see him) sweet potato hash at true food, hummus, whip cream, finally got him into overnight oats after weeks of sitting on the ground of the kitchen trying to get him to eat it, pantsing his mom while she is cooking, daddys songs and dances, being tickled, all target commericals- he will stop and do a little dance for.

Carters least favorite things of the week: not a huge fan of shoes but were working on it, winstons shrill barks when we leave the house, the carseat 50% of the time, afternoon naps, having less feedings. being told no- as soon as I shake my head he throws a fit and gets super upset, its actually kind of hilarious.

Smiling? Non stop, old news now.
Laughing? Like a maniac at tons of things but he loves being tickled, peek-a-boo, hide and seek, normally in his carseat and his cocky little laugh that we love so dearly.

First word? says momma and dadda and calls the dog deedee and dis and dat! I also think he started trying to say "twee" as I showed him the christmas tree every morning.. were working on the verbal stuff!

Carters global travels:Carter has been all over the place now and we still bring him out to dinner with us and put him to sleep so we can stay out. Were not sure how long this will last but were hoping for awhile.

Best moment of the week: Having a kid is the best and I dont know how to describe it.  It truly makes life so much more meaningful and beautiful. I am starting to get that itch for another little one but looking back at the last year I can't believe we survived it sometimes. Its hard when they arent talking or communcating but once they do start - its the most incredible thing in the world. I cant wait for another.
