28 Weeks AKA 7 MONTHS and the 3rd Trimester!!!!

How far along? 28 weeks 4 days!

Total weight gain: gaining steadily 1/2 pound to a pound! So about 7 pounds!

Maternity clothes? Still working off what I have plus the Bella Band

Stretch marks? No but if you hear of an insane woman screaming and throwing herself in front of a bus in Laguna Niguel in the next 3 months, they might have possibly shown up.

Sleep:?
10 hours on average.  My dreams are super insane and ALWAYS involve vacation to Mexico or snowboarding somewhere. my subconcious(and me in general) just can't handle the fact that I have gone so long without a trip to Mexico. Which is why we are already planning our vacation for next year which will coincide with my girlfriend Rochelle's wedding in late April. Am I afraid I will be a blubbering mess who is too in love  and obsessed with her baby boy to leave him for even a minute? Only time will tell friends.

Best moment this week: Being 7 months pregnant!! AHHH!!! I cannot believe how far we are into this and how soon we get to meet our little guy!!! Joey and I lay in bed on Saturday and Sunday mornings for like 2 hours with our hands on my belly, feeling Baby C kick and talking about excited we are! We call it our own little paradise when the whole family (me, joey, winston and Baby C) get to snuggle up in the mornings and just hang out in bed. We play him all the different Baby Einstein songs on Pandora but mainly the rock renditions of the lullabies (per joeys request) and the disney songs (per my request so I can show off how good I am at singing ALL the little mermaid songs). We realized we only have 11 more weekends of it just being us and Winst! BEYOND exciting and so insane!

We also had a doctors appointment where I forced him to do more precise measurements and he confirmed that the baby is 2.6 pounds right now (average is 2-2.3lbs so hes a big boy!) and is perfect sized for 7 months. YAY! We got to see the little guy squirming around and harass the doctor with questions until he shooed us out the door. Hey I warned him he was in for dealing with a spaz if he took me on as a patient. Can't say I didn't warn him.

Also got the results of my glucose test and anemia testing and everything was perfect= no restrictions on my carbs or sugar intake because my body handles it fine. Clearly, judging by all the crap I ate Saturday night!

We had a blast over the weekend too. Friday night was my girlfriend Erin's bday at a country bar and we absolutely loved the place! It had such a cute atmosphere and was very reminiscent of Texas! Joey and I decided we definitely have to go back. Saturday when Joey and I finally got the whole family out of bed, we decided we had to get stuff done and we ordered our crib, dresser and changing dresser! Cannot wait for that to get here! We put a lot of work into the registry too and hired our painters to come and get started this week on the nursery!

Saturday night we decided we deserved a reward for all our hard work so we ordered domino's in and made cinnamon streusel muffins and brownies and watched movies on the couch all night. It really was heaven.  At least heaven for lazy pregnant people and a puppy (well one pregnant lady and a very sympathetic husband).

Sunday was our friends Jeff and Selin's little girl Malia's 1st birthday party and we had a blast celebrating with them and catching up with some of our other friends from our church group. Love all those people and feel so blessed to have them in my life! Then we went to my moms for Sunday night dinner and cooked up a delicious storm while we talked baby!

Miss Anything? MEXICO!

Movement: ALL THE TIME!

Food Cravings: Excessive amounts of Baja Fresh Shrimp Salads which I was told I need to tone down on because even though the shrimp is low mercury, I am supposed to be consuming in moderation. Oops. True Food, Peanut Butter and whip cream, brownies, and pizza. Healthy, I know.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Still a little here and there but nothing too severe.

Gender: BOY! Boooyaah!

Labor Signs: Negative.

Symptoms: Braxton Hicks for sure and some back pain but thats about it so far!!

Belly Button in or out? Almost all the way out!

Wedding rings on or off? ON!!!!

Happy or Moody most of the time: This IS the happiest I have ever been!

Looking forward to: Meeting our baby boy! Seriously, what else could be more exciting than that??

27 weeks and counting!

How far along? 27 weeks 4 days!

Total weight gain: gaining steadily 1/2 pound to a pound! So up 6 1/2 pounds!

Maternity clothes? clothing is getting verrrry limited these days, I can fit in about 1 pair of shorts and barely into one pair of jeans. Basically, the Bella band is my bff.

Stretch marks? Nope but I have a moment at least once a week where I panic and freak out that I see a stretch mark, my eyes well up, my face turns red annnnnnnd its a line from my shirt being too tight, or laying on a seam etc. Fun fun.

Sleep:?  Joey and I had a minute where we were living like wild party animals and were staying up until 1030-11pm.  Well those days are over folks. I am back to dozing off drooling on the couch by 8pm. Fortunately Joey has the common sense to tell me its cute and he loves his little pregnant wife snoring on his chest when its still light out. But something tells me if I didn't have just over 12 weeks left, my senior citizen- ness might be a little less cute and a little more like he married a grandma. Or great grandma at that.

Best moment this week: Joey was so excited for our relaxing weekend with nothing that we HAD to do but of course it didn't exactly end up that way- which I have to say is a good thing! We have things to do people! We spent a lot of time researching cribs, strollers, etc and spent Saturday with my mom finishing off our registering. I don't know what I would have done without my mom and Joey there to help. After about 30 seconds in the stores, I decided I was exhausted, hungry, my back hurt and I needed a wheelchair. Luckily, they forced me to press on and we spent all day registering and then rewarded ourselves with True Food to my delight and had a little celebration for Joey and his job promotion.

Sunday we went to Taste of Newport with some of our friends and had a blast gorging on the food and enjoying the significantly cooled down weather. Although, my girlfriend Casey found it necessary to point out to every living human that I am pregnant and announce our name options for the little guy while simultaneously rubbing my belly. Nothing like best friends to shame and humiliate you in public.  But the exciting news is we did make a decision and Baby C is officially a named boy!!!

Monday and Tuesday, my dad came into town and we had another little celebration for Joey! It has been such a busy week already- which is why I have lagged so bad on the blogging.

Miss Anything? How can I miss anything when I have just over 12 weeks left? This is going to be over before I know it and I wont have the pregnancy excuse for why I MUST have that for dinner, CAN'T walk that far, NEED to watch this show and CANT GO ON without those cute earrings. No, but really, I love housing our little peanut and having such a beautiful wonderful miracle taking place inside me that only Joey and I created. I absolutely cannot wait to meet the little guy but pregnancy really is a fun happy exciting time and SO freaking emotional and special its hard to think its almost over and I go back to just being little ol me.  Well little old me, Joey, Winston and BABY C!!

Movement: ALL THE TIME! He is moving more and more every single day and they are BIG moves. I read somewhere that I am supposed to start counting his kicks and make sure that he is kicking more than 10 times an hour but Joey and I pretty sure he is kicking more than 10 times a minute. My entire belly literally moves from left to right with his movements. I think we are in for a little dancing machine!

Food Cravings: Excessive amounts of Baja Fresh Shrimp Salads, True Food, Peanut Butter and whip cream. Had a bit of a jelly donut craving too thanks to this other pregnant girl who was talking about how amazing they are. Now I find myself day dreaming of them.

Anything making you queasy or sick: randomly in the morning I feel sick but a pill typically takes care of it!

Gender: BOY! Boooyaah!

Labor Signs: Negative.

Symptoms: Braxton Hicks for sure and some back pain but thats about it so far!! Should be getting the results of my glucose test tomorrow but I am assuming no news is good news!

Belly Button in or out? Almost all the way out!

Wedding rings on or off? ON!!!!

Happy or Moody most of the time: This IS the happiest I have ever been!

Looking forward to: Our doctors appointment tomorrow and seeing our little guy!! Were at the point in the pregnancy where we see the doctor every 2 weeks and I am absolutely ecstatic about it! We are planning on doing a 4D ultrasound soon too so we can REALLY see the little peanut. Fun weekend ahead but will hopefully get some nursery stuff done too!

26 Weeks- 14 weeks to go!!!

How far along? 26 weeks 4 days!

Total weight gain: Gained another pound!

Maternity clothes? not quite yet but I'm a preggers lady fo sho. And I did wear the bella band for the first time and I LOVE IT!

Stretch marks? no no no. While I am sure this is because I am slathering on the mustela like a psycho morning, afternoon and evening, it could also be that I'm not that huge yet. Bigger. But not huge.

Sleep:?  Suddenly I am the worlds most exhausted human being ever. While this is annoying during the day, it is fabulous for my sleep. I barely open open my eyes to pee during my normal 7  times a night and sleep like a baby 10-12 hours. Listen- while I may sound like a lazy piece of crap to you, I must point out that Winston and Joey have adopted this schedule verrrrrrry easily too. We are an extremely well rested household these days. Dont hate.

Best moment this week: We have yet to have a boring slow week and this week was no exception. First of all, we just found out today, that my incredibly smart, talented amazing husband was just promoted and is now the Director for San Diego, Hawaii and Vegas! There is literally no one who deserves this more and I couldn't be more proud of him. This is something we were hoping and praying for but there were a lot of balls in the air that could have made this not happen (he likely would have been promoted regardless but we were praying it would be in San Diego market so we wouldnt have to consider moving and there was only a small chance that SD would end up working) and we had no idea it would happen so soon!! We are both absolutely ecstatic and are celebrating tonight by me being kind enough to suffer through sports watching non stop, ordering round table pizza and making him his favorite cookies and cupcakes. My husband kicks butt! Plus, this job promotion means he'll have to let his wife and son tag along for a few hawaii and vegas trips..my mom and I are already planning some girls vacations!

This last weekend my best friend Shawna and her fiancee Adrian came and stayed with us and brought their adorable Cavalier King Charles named Gus. We went out to dinner and drinks in Laguna and had a blast playing games with them and watching the doggies play with each other (per usual, Winston annoying Gus and poor Gus trying to find hiding places).  I can't even begin to express how much I love Shawna and how much of a sister she really is to me.   We grew up 4 houses down from each other and have been best friends for almost 25 years! How crazy is that! Joey always says that it's amazing that Shawna and I have stayed such close friends over the years and I take pride in how close we are despite the distance. She really is the best friend! Am I an emotional pregnant lady?

Then we went to our friends Brooke and Chris's USC tailgate on Saturday on the beach, which was awesome and they also have an adorable Cavalier King Charles named Quiggly. I take all these adorable cavaliers as a sign that it is time for our next dog and it prob should be one of these breeds. Although, I have a hard time saying no to a beagle. The Cefalu's do love our beagles!!

Sunday we went to our friends Luke and Candices house to celebrate their adorable little girl Hazel turning 3! She is so adorable and I swear 2 minutes ago she could barely walk. They also have a 2 1/2 month old Harper who is so cute and tiny, I can't believe I am blessed enough to have one of my own soon!

Miss Anything? Not at all anymore. I must be growing up and I kind of think pregnancy suits me! Well, I could use a boody mary or 10.

Movement: ALL THE TIME! He is big time moving all the time. A ton of people have now felt him move and whenever I get that "is my baby healthy and okay???!!!" fear, he seems to start kicking up a storm like "momma, you are one crazy worrywart!"

Food Cravings: BBQ chicken salads, True Food, frozen grapes, Edamame, edamame dumplings, whip cream.

Anything making you queasy or sick: randomly in the morning I feel sick but a pill typically takes care of it!

Gender: BOY! Boooyaah!

Labor Signs: Negative.

Symptoms: Braxton Hicks contractions are starting, I think but fortunately they don't hurt and I heard they help to prep your cervix (TMI?) for labor so I dont mind them. Theyre just a little weird feeling but kind of crazy because they remind me how close we are to the end.  Back pain is starting to happen a lot, Doc said it a sciatic nerve thing. Joy. oh and Joey now insists his sciatic nerve hurts. Pregnancy jealousy much?

Belly Button in or out? This belly button of mine is def on his way out. he spends the first half of the day (when my belly is less large) in and the second half popping out! He's a wild one !

Wedding rings on or off? ON!!!!

Happy or Moody most of the time: This IS the happiest I have ever been!

Looking forward to: My glucose tolerance test tomorrow. NOT. I heard the liquid they make you drink is DISGUSTING and although I am not particularly worried about the results, tests are always a little anxiety ridden.

I am looking forward to this weekend though! It should be super relaxing (a first for us) and my mom wants to take us out to celebrate Joeys promotion and do a little shopping!

Joey and I are hoping to keep the schedule light this weekend and focus on registering, plotting out the nursery and just getting our lives in order in general.

25 weeks!!!!!!!!!

How far along? 25 weeks 6 days!

Total weight gain: Gained another pound!

Maternity clothes? Not yet, but I am definitely showing these days! People are noticing folks!

Stretch marks? Nope! Although when I was putting on my Mustela last night before I went to bed I almost screamed because I thought I saw a stretch mark but it was just a line from my shirt. Phew.

Sleep:?  Sleeping pretty well! Joey and I both slept super well in Austin because the hotel bed was comfortable, the room was so dark, and we found a new noise maker app that we are both obsessed with. Thunder storms= fabulous sleep for the Cefalu's.

Best moment this week: Again, another awesome eventful week! Top of best moments was going to the doctor and seeing our little peanut kicking away and hanging out in my belly. He definitely looks bigger and according to the doctor he is growing perfectly and if anything is a bit bigger than average! Please dont tell me I am going to give birth to a 20 pound baby! C-section anyone? Anyway, I pressured the doctor into doing measurements and he said everything looks great and he guessed the baby weighed in at around 2 1/2-3lbs. Holy moly! He said we will being doing a more detailed ultrasound in a few weeks so we should get more specifics then. I love our little boy so much, there is nothing better than hearing he is doing so well!

We went to Austin over the weekend for Tony and Cassandra's wedding and had a phenomenal time! We arrived Friday afternoon and stayed until Monday afternoon and had such a fun little vacation. I LOVE Austin! Downtown is totally a blast and definitely my style! Lots of fun little restaurants, bars and shops and plenty of life! It was super hot but well worth it.

We stayed in a hotel with all of our friends and had such a good time going out to dinner and drinks with everyone and just hanging out. We checked out a ton of great restaurants, including Salt Lick BBQ and Moonshine and loved them all. It was kind of like a big group vacation and the beautiful wedding was an awesome finale. Cassandra and Tony were adorable and the wedding couldnt have been in a more beautiful place. Definitely want to make another trip out there!

Despite being exhausted by the time we got back, it was really fun just being on vacation with joey and being pregnant. I mean, pregnancy and travel don't exactly go hand in hand, but our awesome freinds make it so much more fun and Joey is so amazing at taking care of me and making sure I have everything I need. Plus I now feel big enough to walk around rubbing my belly and I kind of LOVE how nice anyone and everyone is to a pregnant lady! Do I sound like I like the attention? So sue me!:P

Miss Anything? Negative. I feel like time is flying by so quickly that I am going to miss being pregnant!

Movement: ALL THE TIME! I think I even saw his little arm the other day! The kicking and punching is definitely one of the coolest parts of pregnancy! I hear it will slow down and he continues to grow and has less and less room. Not looking forward to it.

Food Cravings: BBQ chicken salads, Pineapple, True Food, frozen grapes, Whole Foods anything.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Haven't thrown up in a really long time!!

Gender: BOY! Boooyaah!

Labor Signs: Negative.

Symptoms:  Back pain is starting to happen a lot, Doc said it a sciatic nerve thing. Joy.

Looking forward to: My best friend from forever that I grew up with Shawna and her fiancee Adrian are coming to stay with us for the weekend and are bringing thier adorable puppy Gus. Can't wait to see them and catch up on wedding details! Also, I am so glad to have a month ahead of us to be home with the hubby and the puppy! There truly is no place like home!
